Art.1:
Broderie.it, together with the Sponsorship of the
office for the arts of the city of Saluzzo, Italy, announces the 1st edition 2003/04 of the cartoons and drawings award contest
“Saluzzoridens”
Art. 2: The contest is free and open to both foreigners and Italians
(cartoonists, caricaturists, illustrators, designers,…), both professionals and
amateurs. |
Art. 3: The subjects
are:
A: It’s always the best that go first Broadly speaking:
therefore, not only people or personalities but objects as well
(for example, record-plays, etc.), eras (American
Indians, etc.), cultures, myths and the like.
B: Are we people or animals?
C: Free theme
Art. 4
Each artist can send a maximum of 2 drawings for each theme in form of
drawing, cartoon or strip, with or without words.
Art. 5: The drawings have to be in black and white or in
colour, must be original, in the A4 format mm. (210 x 297). They can be executed in any
technique.
Works previously submitted to other exhibitions or published in newspapers or books are
excluded.
The drawings will not be given back to the contestants, unless a written request is made – within one year since the award date - via first class
postage, and all the expenses are to be paid by the
contestant.
Art. 6: The artists who do not wish to compete can send their works as
out-of-competition informing of this decision on the back of their
work.
Art. 7: On the back of each work the following information should
appear:
1 the subject chosen (A, B or C), 2 The title of the
work, 3 Name and surname of the author and his/her complete
address, telephone and e-mail, if available.
Art 8: The works should be sent in by 31 January 2004,
to: broderie.it c/o Franco Bongiovanni – Via Vacca 11 – 12037 Saluzzo
(Cuneo) ITALY.
Art. 9: The awards will be the following: 1st : 500 €, 2nd : 150 €, 3rd : 100. €, More awards
(critics, popularity,…) can be assigned by the jury, whose
members’ names will be published during the award ceremony to be held the 1° April 2004.
Art. 10: The winners will be personally informed; the names of the participating authors will be published on
www.broderie.it
Art. 11: The selected works may appear in an exhibition and perhaps
published, which however does not entitle the authors to any form of
remuneration.
Art. 12: The organisation cannot be held responsible for any damage that their works may suffer
before, during or after the exhibition.
Art 13: By submitting his or her works the artist unconditionally accepts the rules and regulation hereby
stated.
