A. Participation
This open International Cartoon and Photo Competition is open to anyone and
everyone, irrespective of nationality. Entrants are expected to familiarise themselves with the
"Cartoons & Photos Undercover" regulations and to declare to be in agreement with the specifications and conditions of participation and with the jury's
decision.
B. Theme: "Energy"
Issues, deeds, people, events and emotions relating to the theme of
"energy"' are to be depicted humorously and/or
artistically. |

C.Prizes
A number of entries will be selected for display in the "Cartoons & Photos
Undercover" exhibition, publication in the catalogue or promotion by means of other forms of
publication.
From these selected entrants, 11 will be honoured with an Award and a cash prize, which will be awarded in
Euro. Following prizes will be handed to both categories:
D. Entries
Entries must meet the following conditions:
1.Entrants may submit a maximum of 5 cartoons and/or photographs;
2.All entries must be original cartoons and/or photographs, drawn/taken in black and white or
colour;
3.Cartoons and/or photographs that have already been exhibited and/or published are not
admissible;
4.If a work contains text, then because of the international nature of the
competition, this must be in English and not exceed 30 characters;
5.Entries must be packed in such a way that the organisers receive them undamaged (i.e. not
folded, and either packed flat or rolled up in a tube);
6.The size of entries must be as follows:
Cartoons and Photographs maximum
DIINA4(2lOmm x 297mm) (8,2" x 11,7")
They may be either "landscape" or "portrait"
format. Other formats may be submitted and may be selected for the
exhibition, but are not admissible for the competition;
7.Works under glass or framed will not be accepted for
consideration;
8.The reverse side of the cartoon and/or photograph should bear the
surname, forename and address of the entrant in Latin block
letters;
9.Entrants are responsable for ensuring the correct postage;
10.All entries must be accompanied by a completed and signed entry form.
11.Entries will NOT be returned
E. Entry Form
Entrants can make copies of the regulations and entry forms from the original or from
internet. Cartoon and/or photograph entries are only valid if accompanied by a fully completed and signed entry form.
Note: Entries not complying witb items B and D above will be
rejected.

G. Right of ownership and copy il
In participating, entrants surrender to the organisers the right to archive the
entries, to publish them in a catalogue or to use them in any other form of publication or replication to promote the
organisers, the cartoonists, the photographers and the competition.
Surname, forename and country of origin of the cartoonist or photographer will be cited on any and every
publication. The participating cartoonists and photographers who, by the decision of the
jury, come into consideration for publication, thereby relinquish all
rights. The cartoonists and photographers nominated for the exhibition and the book are entitled to a free copy of the cartoon and photo book of the
"Cartoons & Photos Undercover" exhibition and a copy of any other medium
(Cd-ROM, poster, calender, promotional gift etc.) of which their work is
published. The organisers cannot be held liable for damaged or lost
works.
H. Prize presentation ceremony
All winners will receive an invitation to the prize presentation
ceremony. This ceremony will take place on 17th of October 2003 in the buildings of TTI
nv. The travel and accomodation expenses of the winners of the
"Diamond Sleeper" and the "Gold Sleeper" will be reimbursed by the
organisers. The organisers ar~ entitled to input with regard to the route of travel and means of transport
used. The laureate himself is responsible for applying in good time for a
visa, if required.
I. Exhibiton
T.T.I.nv is holding the international exhibition "Cartoons & Photos
Undercover" (with media presentation) from 6 February 2004 to 5 March 2004 in the
Expodroom, Kanaal Noord 1167, 3960 Bree in Belgium. |
